Im überwiegenden Teil der Arbeiten von Ulrike Bernhard lassen sich entweder Muster finden oder die Auseinandersetzung mit Flächen beobachten. Dabei handelt es sich meist um figurative Kunst, die durch Muster erweitert ist oder Flächen so gesetzt wurden, dass sie zwar die Räumlichkeit verlassen, aber der Gegenstand bzw. Landschaftsabschnitt dennoch erkennbar bleibt.
